Manufacturing and Other Updates

Recently, Nifty Vector has completed a set of new electronic designs for our sensor boards and logic boards, which form the backbone of NiftoTrack, our patent-pending system for highly precise 3D motion tracking. This month, we begin manufacturing these new circuit boards and integrating them into our two latest prototypes: a tracker for ultrasound probes; and a tracker for VR helmets.

Precise motion tracking in ultrasound can enable new forms of real-time 3D imaging as portable, cost-effective, and radiation-free alternatives to CT. Use cases include diagnostics, surgical guidance, and robotic control. Throughout the development of our ultrasound prototype, we have been in dialogue with interested medical device companies and hospital researchers in Canada and the US.

Precise motion tracking in VR simulations can enhance training outcomes in critical domains such as aerospace, defence, emergency response, and healthcare. Throughout the development of our VR helmet prototype, we have been in dialogue with an interested VR simulations company in Canada.

Our supply chain is proudly Canadian, with engineering and assembly based in Nova Scotia and Ontario.

Having obtained a US provisional patent in August 2025, we are now preparing to file for Canadian and Australian patents in February and March 2026.

These developments are made possible in part by the ongoing funding and support of Invest Nova Scotia, Emera ideaHUB, and Dalhousie University.
